Who this policy covers
C4C is responsible for personal information collected through this website and through C4C registrations, applications, enquiries, events, and learning experiences. This policy applies to prospective and current participants, parents and guardians, school and university contacts, partners, suppliers, and website visitors. Privacy questions or requests can be submitted through the Contact Us form by selecting the privacy option.
Information we collect
Depending on your request, we may collect your name, contact details, age or date of birth, school or university, education level, city or country, guardian details, selected program, application or enquiry answers, consent records, attendance and participation records, and communications with C4C. We also receive limited technical information needed to secure and operate the website. General forms must not be used to send payment-card details, passport copies, medical records, or other highly sensitive documents unless C4C provides a specific secure process.
Why we use it
We use personal information to answer enquiries; assess applications; manage registrations, participation, safeguarding, attendance, and program communications; work with schools, universities, and partners; meet legal and accounting obligations; protect participants and our services; and improve our learning experiences using aggregated or de-identified information. We use information only for a compatible purpose and seek consent where consent is required.
Students under 18
Many C4C experiences are designed for young people. For participants under 18, we collect guardian details and may require a parent or legal guardian to confirm participation, policies, communications, media choices, or other program permissions. We use age-appropriate language and limit access to student information to people who need it for an approved purpose.
How long we keep information
Unconverted enquiries and applications are normally reviewed for deletion or anonymisation 12 months after the last meaningful interaction. Registration, participation, consent, finance, and program-administration records may be kept for up to five years after the relevant experience, unless a longer or shorter period is required by law, a contractual obligation, an active dispute, or a safeguarding need. Restricted safeguarding records are retained only for as long as necessary for student protection, accountability, and applicable legal requirements.
How we protect information
C4C uses access controls, role-based permissions, secure hosting, validation, monitoring, backups, and internal handling rules designed to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data incident creates a legal notification duty, C4C will follow the applicable reporting and communication requirements.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, update, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent for future use where processing depends on consent. A guardian may make an appropriate request for a minor. Submit a privacy request through Contact Us. We may need to verify identity and keep limited evidence that a request was completed. You may also raise a complaint with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Center.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when our programs, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date and version on this page identify the policy currently in force. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel.
